Graze on 3 courses of local deliciousness as you hike from Boya to Mt Helena along the historic Railway Reserves Heritage Trail with Off The Beaten Track WA!

The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail follows the route of the old Eastern Railway. You will pass through quaint Perth Hills communities such as Darlington, Glen Forrest, Mahogony Creek and Sawyers Valley and discover the individual history, story and character of the settlements that sprung up along the line in the late 1800s. Our first stop will be Perellas in Darlington for some tasty sweet treats and a nice warm cuppa tea!

As we make our way from Darlington to Mundaring Hotel for a light lunch and a glass of something delicious, you'll enjoy beautiful valley views and rolling hills and admire the quaint homesteads along the trail. Our last leg will be a delightful hike from Mundaring to Mt Helena through Sawyers Valley to The Mounties where a gourmet grazing table and a celebratory drink will be waiting for us to devour!

With scenic views and numerous historical points of interest along the way, this 18km Hike & Graze Experience will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired and with a full tummy! You can expect amazing views, lots of laughs, historical facts, and delicious local gourmet delights on this hiking food tour along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail!

Price: $170 incl GST

Includes: 20km guided hike, bus from Mt Helena to Boya, morning tea at Perrellas, light lunch with beverage at Mundaring Hotel and grazing platter with beverage at Mounties, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent & access to all hike photographs.

Terrain: The terrain is quite gentle as we follow the old railway line. Only slight gentle hills on mostly gravel tracks. 

Meeting Place: Mount Helena Tavern, 900 Keane St Mount Helena. Please meet here by 7:15am to board the bus for a 7:30am departure.

What to Bring? 2-3ltrs water, camera, hungry appetite, personal medications/first aid, a good attitude and big smile!
