  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Martin, WA
  • Product code: P3K0QY

Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon in the Perth Hills — made for our adventurers who want to connect with nature, wildlife, and each other. This special sunset teens edition of the Kaarakin Wildlife Experience combines up-close animal encounters with a golden-hour hike through stunning bushland.

We’ll kick things off at the Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre, a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and releasing WA’s endangered black cockatoos. On this behind-the-scenes tour, you’ll:

  • Hear the incredible stories of how black cockatoos are saved and set free again
  • Meet the permanent resident birds who are ambassadors for their species
  • Visit the cheeky kangaroos, emus, guinea fowl, and maybe even spot a peacock or two
  • Learn what makes dingoes so fascinating — and why they’re so important

Step into Jack’s Interactive Aviary, where friendly black cockatoos might land right on you for a gumnut snack!

After 1.5hrs with the animals, we’ll lace up our boots for a chill 3km meander through neighbouring bushland. Mid-way, we’ll pause on a granite outcrop to enjoy a light snack and take in sweeping views of Perth city below. As we continue, the bush comes alive with the colours and sounds of golden hour, and by the time we reach the end of the trail, the sun will slip below the horizon, casting the hills in a warm, golden
glow.

Reconnect with nature, make new friends, and discover the magic of WA’s black cockatoos — all while supporting a great cause.

$20 from every ticket sold goes straight to Kaarakin to help continue their vital conservation work.
