Step into the stories of Jarrahdale and walk through layers of time on this immersive 12km guided experience.

This journey is designed for those who love to learn as they walk - blending culture, history and landscape into a deeper, more meaningful connection with place. As we move through the forest, the trail becomes a living timeline, revealing the stories that have shaped this region for thousands of years.

Following a well-formed loop that links sections of the Whim Trail, Munda Biddi Trail, Mundlimup Timber Trail and the trails of Gooralong Park, this hike offers an engaging and varied experience. Expect a mix of wide paths and single track, gentle to moderate undulations, and ever-changing scenery from towering jarrah forest to open spaces rich in heritage.

Along the way, we’ll acknowledge the deep cultural significance of this landscape for First Nations people, whose connection to Country spans tens of thousands of years. These stories sit alongside the more recent history of Jarrahdale’s timber industry, once a thriving hub in Western Australia’s early forestry era, with subtle remnants still woven into the landscape today.

What to Expect:
  • Guided interpretive storytelling throughout the hike
  • Insights into First Nations connection to Country
  • Exploration of early European settlement and timber history
  • A thoughtful, engaging pace with opportunities to pause and reflect
  • Guided interpretive storytelling

With each step, this hike reveals another layer of history, culture and landscape offering a deeper way to experience Jarrahdale enduring connection between past and present.

As a shared-use trail within the Jarrahdale Horse Trails network, we may encounter horse riders along the way. We’ll follow simple trail etiquette and step aside when needed to ensure a safe and respectful experience for everyone. With towering jarrah and sheoak forest, grass trees dotting the landscape, and a peaceful, unhurried rhythm, this is the perfect way to reconnect - with nature, and with yourself.
