The Jinker Endurance Hike is designed for those looking to push their limits, build stamina and settle into the rhythm of a longer journey set within the regenerating forests of Jarrahdale.

Traversing the Jinker Trail in an anticlockwise direction, this 20km loop unfolds steadily through a landscape shaped by regrowth, resilience and time. It’s a more immersive experience, one where the kilometres build, the scenery shifts, and you find your stride.

Underfoot, the trail keeps things interesting. Expect a mix of compact paths, occasional rocky sections and natural obstacles, with gentle to moderate undulations and a few short, steeper climbs to keep the legs working. This is a hike that rewards consistency and effort.

As we move through sections once impacted by historic timber harvesting, the forest reveals its story of regeneration with towering jarrah rising above emerging understorey, with scattered xanthorrhoeas adding texture and character. Birdlife and quiet moments in nature accompany us along the way, even as the focus remains on distance and endurance.

For those wanting to go a little further, there may be the option to extend the challenge via the Stirrup Spur Trail, a scenic addition leading to a lookout and a few extra kilometres for those chasing it.

This is more than just a long hike - it’s about finding your pace, staying the course, and finishing with that unbeatable feeling of having earned every kilometre.

As a shared-use trail within the Jarrahdale Horse Trails network, we may encounter horse riders along the way. We’ll follow simple trail etiquette and step aside when needed to ensure a safe and respectful experience for everyone. With towering jarrah and sheoak forest, grass trees dotting the landscape - this is the perfect way to reconnect - with nature, and with yourself.

After your hike: 
Join us on the oval for a Trail Activation Day celebration. Local businesses will be on-site as well as Paddy Pallin and The Heritage Society. Expect a vibrant community atmosphere, prizes and giveaways, exclusive offers and that signature OTBT energy that brings people together.

Meeting Place: Jarrahdale Oval Trailhead on Nettleton Road. Please aim to arrive 15 mins early to ensure a prompt departure.

What to Bring? Camera, 3ltrs water, BYO light lunch/snacks for energy, personal first aid, rain jacket (just in case) a good attitude and big smile!
